Description:
While many frameworks can boast significant libraries of widgets and utilities, jQuery separates itself from the pack by providing one of the simplest APIs around. Functionality which would typically take dozens of lines of code in traditional JavaScript, can be accomplished with just a few lines in jQuery. As a result, jQuery has quickly become one of the most popular JavaScript frameworks available. In this session, you will be introduced to the main syntax, methods, and plug-ins that are provided by the jQuery API. Traditional JavaScript examples will be compared and contrasted with their jQuery equivalent to emphasize its organizational benefits and remarkable ability to drastically reduce the amount of JavaScript code required.
