By Jim White (Instructor and Director of Training)
Great news for those looking to learn Spring 3.0. I just wrapped up the development of Intertech's Complete Spring class. This class now combines our previous Spring Core and Spring Web classes into one big and improved class. This new 5 day class incorporates most of the new features in Spring 3.0. In addition, I expanded coverage of some of Spring 2.5.6 topics not covered in our previous class.
What's been expanded from Spring 2.x in the class:
- p-namespace
- JSR-250 Common Annotations support
- SimpleJdbcInsert and SimpleJdbcCall in the Spring JDBC module
- Extended coverage of stereotype compoments and annotations
- Validator interface
What's new from Spring 3.0 in this class:
- New Spring modules/structure
- Spring 3.0 Schema updates
- JSR-330 Dependency Injection Annotations
- Spring type conversion system
- Spring Expression Language
- New view resolver: ContentNegotiatingViewResolver
- New Spring MVC annotations: @PathVariable, @ExceptionHandler
- New Spring tags (spring:url, spring:eval)
- Formatting annotations and Formatting SPI
- Spring 3 MVC Validation
- JSR-303 Validators
