We and many other IT consulting firms use Agile methodology, processes, checkpoints and reviews to keep projects humming and productive. While we are trained and experienced in many methodologies, we truly shine in understanding and mentoring Agile development methodologies.
Why are we so passionate about Agile?
Agile allows companies to better respond and adapt to changing market conditions and business priorities. A series of smaller successes results in tangible deliverables even as further business developments continue. It also encourages better user input, frequent deliverables, more accurate forecasting and significant cost savings. This is the opposite of a “waterfall” approach in which customers must wait for months, or even years, for something to be delivered – often resulting in complete waste due to changed business needs.
Most of the companies we work with have strong interest in the Agile process. Some are eager to use Agile for the first time; others are striving for greater Agile proficiency. For Agile to be effective, however, customers must be willing to improve and employ development teams that are willing to change the way things have been done in the past.
Intertech plays a significant role in putting the tools and processes in place so Agile can be a success with our customers. Our consultants include Certified Scrum Masters (CSM) and when it comes to our consultants getting training on Agile/Scrum, they need to look no further than the training classes offered at Intertech where we teach customers Agile/Scrum. The result is a well-rounded consultant with the perspective of the developer/architect, as well as an Agile Coach/Scrum Master. It’s a powerful combination that delivers both technical leadership and process improvement to a development team within any organization.
