Senior Java™ Consultants

Intertech Java™ consultants must have solid experience in Java open-source technologies and tools, SOA, enterprise architecture and JEE development. Experience with cloud computing not required but preferred.

Requirements:

  • Ten years of solid experience in software development
  • Architecture and development in JEE enterprise applications
  • Project or technical-leadership position preferred
  • Mobile and cloud development preferred but not required
  • Total allegiance to Intertech values of attitude, commitment and excellence
  • A Bachelorʼs degree in computer science, math or science-related field

Senior .NET Consultants

Intertech .NET consultants must have solid experience in enterprise architecture and .NET.

Requirements:

  • Ten years of solid experience in software development
  • Architecture and development in .NET enterprise applications
  • Project or technical-leadership position preferred

Dev Center Developers

Intertech Development Center developer must have solid experience in Frontend web technologies and tools OR equivalent experience in Java OR .NET.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of one year experience in software development
  • Web Development using JavaScript Framework OR Java OR .NET enterprise applications
  • Willingness to learn and grow and contribute to a team
  • Total allegiance to Intertech values of attitude, commitment and excellence
  • A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, math or science-related field

Intermediate Java™ Consultants

Intertech Java™ consultants must have solid development experience in Java open-source technologies and tools. Experience with front end development is required.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of four years experience in software development
  • Development in JEE enterprise applications
  • Front-end development, Web Services and Web Frameworks (preferably Spring)
  • Willingness to learn and grow and contribute to a team
  • Total allegiance to Intertech values of attitude, commitment and excellence
  • A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, math or science-related field

Intermediate .NET Consultants

Intertech .NET consultants must have solid development experience using .NET for web based applications. Experience with front end development is required.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of four years of experience in software development
  • Development in .NET enterprise web applications
  • Willingness to learn and grow and contribute to a team
  • Front-end development, web Services and Web Frameworks

Account Executives

Intertech account executives take a genuine interest in our customers, are thorough, self-managed and committed to growth.

Requirements:

  • Sold $1M+ per year in IT consulting services in Twin Cities in past two years
  • Over five years of industry sales experience
  • Commitment to focused hard work, making contacts and maintaining a positive attitude
  • Experience with selling project-based and staff augmentation consulting
  • Government sales experience preferred but not required
  • Business-level knowledge of JEE, .NET, mobile, cloud, and project management
  • Desire to develop knowledge of customers, industry, competitors and trends
  • Experience in a sales process
  • Consistent closing skills: not afraid to talk about money to qualify good prospects
  • Excellent written and verbal demonstration skills
  • A commitment to personal growth

Interview Process

The following is an overview of Intertechʼs interview process for technical professionals:

Prescreen:

  • One of the recruiters will speak with you about your background and what you are looking for to see if we think you might be a fit for Intertech. This will probably be 30-60 minutes on the phone.
  • If qualifications are met, you will proceed to the technical assessment.

Technical Assessment:

  • We have engaged a 3rd party to do a technical interview for us and this will be done from your home by logging into their system and conversing with the interviewer about your technical abilities. This will take 30-45 minutes.
  • If technical qualifications are met, you will proceed to a Recruiter Assessment interview

Recruiter Assessment interview:

  • This is where we will dig deeper into your work history and what your career goals are as well as tell you more about Intertech and how we work. This will be done in our offices and will take 1 ½ - 2 hours.
  • If qualifications are met, you will proceed to the Role Assessment.

Role Assessment:

  • This fit-to-job assessment is a six-step online assessment that will determine how well a candidate will fit into the Intertech culture and fit their potential role within our firm. This is done from your home and will take around 45 minutes.
  • If technical qualifications are met, you will proceed to management interview.

Management Interview:

  • Members of the management and sales teams will conduct an interview to learn more about a candidate’s accomplishments and aspirations. This will be done in our offices and will take 1 ½ - 2 hours.
  • If management approves of the applicant, a final assessment and team interview will be conducted.

Professional Assessment & Team Interview:

  • A final professional assessment is conducted to determine how well you fit the role of Intertech consultant, and you meet with your potential peers. This will be done in our offices and will take 1 hour.
  • If the team and management approves of the applicant, a verbal offer will be made.

Smooth Transition

A smooth introduction to the Intertech team is a priority. To assist in this process, Intertech has established an onboard program for all new team members that includes:

Intertech 101

  • On your first day and within your first week, Intertech has refined an "Intertech 101" process where we walk through everything from your log-on credentials to Intertech’s history, values, strategic planning pyramid, clients, internal tools of interest, team, and complete process and expectations.

30-, 60-, 90-day Checkups

  • 1-on-1 meetings make sure expectations are being met and fulfilled by both sides.
