ST. PAUL—Mar 27, 2009-The Virginia Courthouse started using a new, innovative program called eCharging. It's an internet program that helps law enforcement, attorneys, and the courts process criminal complaints faster.
"It will make things more efficient. Our workload is going up, but our staffing is going down. This is technology that will help us," said Judge Jim Florey, Chief Judge of the 6th Judicial District.
This is the first county in the nation to try this pilot program.
"The success of this system is a testament to the over two years of hard work, innovation, and leadership of the Intertech team building the eCharging system. This is a much deserved, tremendous success. We're fortunate to have all of them on our team" said Intertech CEO, Tom Salonek.
