Corporate Overview
Intertech is a leading Twin Cities-based software development consulting firm and the largest combined software consulting and developer training company in Minnesota. Local entrepreneur Tom Salonek founded the company in 1991.
Intertech designs and develops software solutions for state government and mid-sized corporations. The company also creates pre-packaged software that powers Fortune 500 businesses and systems for state government. Intertech works with NASA, Wells Fargo, Lockheed Martin, Microsoft, and Intel and other major companies worldwide, helping them learn and use technology.
Leadership
A typical Intertech engagement involves leadership in thought, process, and teams. With our consulting and training staff tasked to maintain an ever-changing understanding of the newest technologies, each member of Intertech must exhibit leadership and keen decision- making. At Intertech, everyone must lead. Intertechʼs leadership team has a practical approach and a proven record of success.
Philanthropy
In 2003, Intertech, Inc. formed the Intertech Foundation, a nonprofit (501) private foundation for the provision of financial support to families of terminally ill children. Tom Salonek, his wife Linda, and Intertech partner Ryan McCabe comprise the Intertech Foundation board. Its charter calls for grants to be presented to Minnesota families who need financial assistance to fulfill last wishes, as well as help with costs associated with hospitalization, respite care, and other considerations.
Since 2003, Intertech has contributed over $175,000 to the Intertech Foundation. The Intertech Foundation works with Crescent Cove, located in Minneapolis, MN, and other services, making grants to families with terminally ill children.
In addition, through the foundation, Intertech offers STEM scholarships to exceptional graduating high school seniors on their way to high education and a field in computer science. STEM Scholarship details can be found here.

A smooth introduction to the Intertech team is a priority. To assist in this process, Intertech has established an onboard program for all new team members that includes:

- On your first day and within your first week, Intertech has refined an “Intertech 101” process where we walk through everything from your log-on credentials and benefits package to Intertech’s history, values, strategic planning pyramid, clients, internal tools of interest, team, and complete process and expectations.
30-, 60-, 90-day Checkups
- 1-on-1 meetings make sure expectations are being met and fulfilled by both sides.
