This two-day instructor-led course explores how to navigate and use the new Ribbon interface, learn what new things you can do from Designer, what changes have been made to the actions and conditions of workflows, how to build external content types, and how to modify Out of the Box Workflows.

This course is intended for anyone that has been, and will be working with SharePoint Designer to make changes to SharePoint sites.
Before attending this course, students must have an understanding of SharePoint site elements (Lists, Libraries, Content Types, etc).
A simple introduction module.
In this module we are going to take a look at some of the major changes between SharePoint Designer 2007 and SharePoint Designer 2010.
In this module we take a look at common features of the basic team site.
- New SharePoint Features
In this module we are going to take a look at Data Views and Data Sources.
- DataSources and DataViews
External Content Types
In this module we are going to take a look at the new Business Connectivity Services (BCS), the replacement/new version of Business Data Catalog (BDC).

In this module we are going to take a look at implementing workflows with SharePoint Designer 2010.
