Through our STEM Scholarships, The Intertech Foundation focuses on young people’s inspiration and the building of their science, engineering, and technology skills. If you have excelled in Math and Science and will be graduating from high school this spring (2024), and plan to pursue college studies in computer science in the fall of 2024, consider applying for the Intertech STEM Scholarship.

The Intertech STEM scholarship is a non-renewable, $2,500, one year scholarship that is awarded to a college-bound high school graduating applicant, starting higher education in the fall of 2024.
To be eligible, the student must possess:
Cumulative high school GPA of 3.3 or higher
An intent to study computer science
Graduating high school in the spring of 2024 and enrolling at or accepted to an accredited college or university within the US by the end of August, 2024

How To Apply
Collect and submit the following using the online form below:
(only complete applications considered)
- Copy of official school transcript (due to timing and COVID related office hours of many schools, a copy of your high school transcript will suffice)
- Resume defining paid work and volunteer experience, as well as extracurricular activities
- Two letters of recommendation (one of which should be from a Math or Science teacher familiar with the student)
- Copy of official college/university acceptance letter (optional to apply but required prior to first payment)
- 350 to 500-word essay describing (1) how current computer software has impacted the student’s life and (2) how the student would improve on the software that has impacted them so greatly.

STEM Scholarship Award Details
$2,500 Scholarship Is In Two Equal Parts...
The $2,500 scholarship award will be in two equal payments of $1,250, each made directly to the student’s college or university at the beginning of each semester.
Recipient Must Maintain A 3.3 GPA Or Higher...
The scholarship recipient must maintain a minimum of 3.3 GPA during the first semester to receive the second payment.
The Scholarship Recipient’s School Must Provide...
School must provide (1) proof that student has a GPA of 3.3 or higher after the first semester, (2) is enrolled for the upcoming semester, and (3) a receipt for each check received from the Intertech Foundation.
Scholarship Notes
- Scholarship not available to children of Intertech employees.
- Applicants, during this extended period, must be entering their first year of college or university.
- Completed and submitted application is required (use the form below).
- Proof of acceptance to an accredited college or university within the US must be presented by winning student before receiving grant funds, along with a student ID#, admin office contact name, phone number, and full address at the school to where payment can be submitted.

No.
Q: Do transcripts need to arrive before the deadline date?
If transcripts are post-dated prior to the deadline date they can arrive after the deadline. We have also included an option for you to upload a copy of the official transcript. If selected this will be verified prior to making any payment.
Q: Will all applicants be notified of their application status when a winner is selected?
No. We will only be notifying and making contact with the winner of the STEM Scholarship. Name of recipients will be posted on this site as well.
